In my opinion this seems to be the sales force from phone manufacturer. The same thing I used to share about my old Xiaomi Redmi 4x. It is clearly another dilemma but I believe customer is still always number one in their heart. Therefore listening to customer is no wrong and would still trigger good sales to the best of what I understand so far.

It's 1.5K, so it sits between the two

Does anyone know what kind of glass is on the phone? I haven't used any screen protection on my last few phones, and there were no scratches at all. They all had Gorilla Glass. If I'm going to spend money, I don't want to carry around a scratched phone. I'm asking because there's no durability test for scratches or any information about the glass anywhere.

Where I'm from S24U 256GB goes for 1100€, and the 14T Pro 512GB for 750€ to 800€. So it was a brainer for me. And I have not seen a single Ad (one that is directly from the OS, that is)

You can make the apps work after root as well though I personally would not bother to root a new phone and I would not bother at all if they kept offering updates but after 1-2 years of no updates it's time to root so the fact they make it harder to do it is extremely off-putting and if they're afraid I won't buy a new phone after so much time, they should make better phones,
Anyway I'll hold on to my phone until I see a phone worth upgrading to and I have not seen one in 4 years. This is perhaps the most compelling one yet but it's still pretty far away. Sony is closer in some ways but I'm really not a fan of their skin and for that kind of money they should have at least 5 years of updates.

I used 10T Pro for 4 year - very good item, reliable and secure - and now I decided to exchange it with 14T Pro! The difference don't seem to be so big at the beginning, but step by step 14 shows it good features...
Very good camera! I always appreciate Apple and Samsung for their cameras, but now Mi did something remarkable. Good on low light intensity, good telephoto, good video in any conditions!
In gaming mode - it's just contemporary... Good heat transfer and good performance in multitasking.
Battery protecting by 80% charging mode is a useful function, when I started to charge my old phone to only 80% on the second year of use, his capacity restore from 91 to 95% and after 4 year of hard daily use is still 83%!!!
As a cons - display a little bit slow reacting to low light condition and a bit worse battery than 10T Pro with same battery capacity IMHO.
