2500€ but looks like the cheapest existing Alienware copy from the 2008. MSI will never get their aesthetics in line. And that display, lol... 😂

To clarify, the ridiculous is that screen. A 200 euro tablet have a better screen.

Ridiculous. A 1100 euro laptop from 2021 is better than this.

Reasonable design, though I'd rather have a 16" 1920x1200 display than a 17.3" 1920x1080 display... not to mention the room for improvement in sRGB and response times.

Searched for a laptop, affordable und powerfull enough to play games on. It had to have good battery time und it had to be silent. I tried a few laptop, the G15 5515 for expample. That one was LOUD and terrible quality. At last I got my hands on the Alpha 15 with RX6600m, and its fantastic. It's a litte monster given the price, very good batterytime und performance is also good at 1080p. And it's quite, even while gaming, I can play most games on Silent with framerates, that are enough for me, for example Metro Enhanced Edition, Settings on high with about 50fps, which is enough for me in a single player game. I'm very satisfied, very good 1200,- EUR spent for this device.

AMD's Radeon RX 5500M graphics card is making its way to the MSI Alpha 15 gaming laptop. The Alpha 15 is the first laptop to feature AMD's new Navi GPU, and it'll also be equipped with the Ryzen 7 3750H processor. The laptop will also support AMD's FreeSync variable refresh rate technology for a more fluid gaming experience. MSI is calling this the world's first 7nm gaming laptop, and it'll feature a 15.6-inch 1,920 x 1,080-pixel IPS-level display with support for 120Hz, 144Hz, or 240Hz refresh rates. The company stopped short of detailing the exact memory and storage configurations, but the laptop will take up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and have a single M.2 SSD socket that supports both SATA and PCIe devices and a 2.5-inch HDD bay MSI is offering two versions of the Alpha 15. The Alpha 15 A3DDK will offer a micro SD card slot and a 240Hz refresh rate, while the Alpha 15 A3DD will have the full-sized SD card reader and a more modest 144Hz refresh rate. In addition, the A3DDK ships with the SteelSeries-designed keyboard with per-key RGB backlighting by default, while the A3DD will offer a choice between that and a keyboard with single-colour red backlighting. Both laptops are equipped with a 51Wh battery, which is a little on the small side.

I think you have error in your review, the RAM is not soldered, on the picutres the RAM slots looks identical like ine Alpha 15 A3DDK and I called my local shop and they confirm that RAM is not solded...

Very excellent fact-based info. with some subjective comments appended, supported by the numbers shown. A big help to consumers (like me) who are otherwise addled :o with hype delivered by ignorant, hurried sales personnel..... Thank you!
