The LGV50 is still upgradeable! mine is Android 12
I have had this phone back in 2019 until now and it runs amazingly. It was a blow to me when LG and Sprint just left it high and dry. I ended up using it as an Internet WiFi phone. But missed it as a main phone and after a few years running it on OS 10 was recently beginning to become a hassle with running serious games and apps on it. This forced me in desperation to research any help or advice in upgrading it now as it's been several years since it's abandonment and there's been ample time for other fans of this amazing high quality phone to build or figure work around etc. I got lucky and met the right people and have had my LG V50 ThinQ fully updated with the official firmware (but also can be done with a custom ROM). I chose the official Verizon Firmware, however changed it a few days later to the EU official firmware. Both versions worked perfectly except the EU version did not insist on a Verizon Sim card. EU version has the same everything except I can use any service provider. The phone has updated to Android 12 and is ready to upgrade to higher Android OS as they become available. The phone is again my main phone and runs just as smoothly and beautifully as when first purchased. And it never had to be rooted. So yes, it's not only possible but doable.

I had a great time updating LG phone product. This phone if switched from watts apps to duo. It's a handheld computer. A smartphone on steroids. It's a one of a kind.

LG V50 does not detect the LTE or 4G telephone network. However, he cannot call or receive calls while sending SMS, surfing the internet and calling / receiving calls on whatsup.
In Italy with Sim of the operator TIM it works very badly.
