This is reflected in the sub-ratings in these areas accordingly. There is no defined rule that overall scores cannot match even if individual scores show differences. Cursorily comparing the final score and ascribing motives is hilarious. The rating is almost entirely auto-calculated based on the scores in individual tests, category in which the device is placed, and other weightages for a specific laptop class. There's not much manual intervention possible except for certain aspects such as look and feel, keyboard haptics etc, which are subjective anyways. Most of our readers do spend valuable time reading the reviews, or at least the important points under each section, and I hope others do the same as well. Makes our effort so much more rewarding.

I blame him for the fact that for all the shouting about "AI", these guys cannot translate the simplest phrases in which the context can be traced in an elementary way. It's not that they can't. I use their translator purely out of habit. As usual, you are trying to throw s*** at the fan, there. where we are talking about the duplicity of large corporations that claim that they have super models, but in fact they have nothing serious to present as a simple improvement to even their own public translator core.

Quote from: whoami? on December 12, 2023, 05:11:58 Quote from: whoami? on December 12, 2023, 05:11:58 Exactly. I thought it was strange the review starts by saying it's worse than the AMD model despite being otherwise almost identical, yet has such a high score, so out of curiosity I checked the score in the AMD variant's review and, sadly unsurprisingly, found them to be the same. The more time on spend on NBC the more credibility they continue to lose in my eyes. There's too much bias and they don't seem to care about accuracy. I find myself skipping over more and more articles and reading it more to pass the time when there's nothing else to do than in an attempt to gain any real knowledge.

Found this on Costco's site, and it's $100 off, ($799 total,) includes a 2 year warranty.  With most U.S. credit cards warranty status, can be extended to three year warranty automatically. Very nice deal.

Quote from: jdrch on December 12, 2023, 21:14:47 Quote from: jdrch on December 12, 2023, 21:14:47 Only Zen 4 Phoenix has built-in 2 USB40 ports. Zen4 and all older series do not have a USB40 controller in the SoC. Intel has had them for several generations now. In addition, Intel laptops are sold in a ratio of at least 4:1, i.e. the total cost of an instance is lower than a laptop with AMD, for natural reasons - AMD cannot (or does not want) to increase its market share to the detriment of profits, and increasing its share is always unprofitable at the first moment, and they do not have a cache reserve, like Apple . In addition, they deliberately limit supplies to increase prices. So here it all comes together - these are the problems of market share and the cost per copy of laptops with AMD compared to laptops with Intel. For too long, AMD was in no particular hurry to add an integrated USB40/TB3-4 controller to its SoCs. For example, take the 2023 and 2022 Legion 5 Pro line - Lenovo deliberately removed USB40/TB4 ports from the 2023 models, although they were present in 2022. Those. There is also the redneckness of the manufacturers themselves for the sake of forcing buyers to take only the older lines for the sake of essentially insignificant features, since the difference with and without them is actually negligible in price. Stupid buyers, the majority, are themselves to blame for this manufacturer's policy - do not buy laptops without these ports en masse and they will have to redo everything...

Why do most AMD laptops ship without Thunderbolt?

There are many absurd final conclusions in local reviews, which, against the backdrop of figures inside the review, directly contradict the conclusion. Apparently the calculation is made on the fact that the majority are lazy and do not study the numbers in the review (and their relationship between reviews), but stupidly look only at the final scores. The usual desire of the lazy man in the street is to have tasty food put into his mouth with minimal effort on his part. This is precisely what all the fraud and marketing is based on - lack of attention to detail, the desire to live a "simpler" life. For which the majority of the population always pays. The trouble is that with this approach and "democracy", those who understand a lot also suffer, because in the end, both demand in the market and elections in politics are made by the crazy crowd and skillful manipulators of their opinions, and not by a narrow layer of smart and critical thinkers of people. So your cry on a commercial website will a priori remain a cry crying in the wilderness...
